I Want My Mummy

Author: Bill Meyers

This book is about: two kids who find a mummy walking

What I thought: It was funny

My least favorite part: Melissa catches on fire

Last Sunday, my three-year old daughter slept through lunch (having fallen asleep on the way home from church). Since we were having spaghetti, we ate on our dishes, rather than paper plates. When she woke up after we'd all left the table, we fixed up a plate of food for her but she only picked at it. She kept leaving to go play.

Finally, I said, "If you don't get up here and eat your dinner, I'm going to throw away your plate!"

"No! Don't throw away my plate!" She said, sliding back into her chair. With absolute seriousness, she added, "It's breakable!"

Socks

Book Review by Brandon (3rd Grade)


1. I read Socks by Beaverly Cleary

2. It is about a cat named Socks. A baby comes home. Socks does not like him, but soon he likes him.

3. I liked this book because it was cute when Charles William says ticky.

4. My least favorite part was when Socks gets in a fight.

5. You should talk to your kids about having a baby in the house, and do not get into fights.

6. Overall, I would give this book a 9.

I stared at back at the Bratz™ ghost vacuum cleaner.
Scary eyes were looking at me.

They won't hurt me, I thought. They were still scary. I looked at my screen and gasped.

I saw Finn.

"I am mad!" he said. "Tom has caught my Bratz™ ghosts! I will make something scarier."

He pressed a button. A black figure rose from the ground.

"Catch Tom, my great zombie," he said.

"I hear and obey," a voice said.

I looked and saw...a Barbie™ Zombie!

We went to the Zoo today and added some pictures the Ben's Zoo section of the Website.

1. I read Hospitals Make me Sick.
by Fred E. Katz

2. This book is about a boy named Scotty. He injures his elbow. His brother, Michael, and his cousin, Deanna go with him to the hospital. But it is filled with scary monsters! They remember that God is always with us.

3. I liked this book because it has God in it.

4. My least favorite part was when Scotty injures his elbow.

5. You should tell your kids that scary monsters are not real.

6. Overall, I would give this book a ten.

Brandon: That was my bad dream.


Tiger Team: Attack of the Martians

(Three years later...)

Brandon: Take that, that and that!

Martian: Take That! Ha ha ha!

Brandon: Auggh! I've been shot!

(Note from Dad: Brandon assures me that being shot by a Martian doesn't hurt you, it only turns you into a Martian...)

Marsela: I'm Frozen!

Rachel: I'm captured and Adam's in a coma!

Brandon: Parker, No!

Parker: Take that!

Gun: Bang!

Martian: I'm Shot!
